Weather
in the Algarve
The weather in the Algarve is warm year-round, enjoying
approximately 300 days of sunshine, with fairly steady temperatures.
On hot summer days in July and August, the Atlantic offers a refreshing
cool down. On most days of the year, the windward Western Algarve
provides a nice breeze. Evenings are usually cooler and comfortable
with a sweater or light jacket. Winter evenings are a littler cooler,
so bring a fleece and windbreaker or leather jacket.
The ranges below provide a little more of a reality
check on what to expect than your standard listing of highs and
lows for the region.

When to Go: Our
favourite times to visit Lagos are in mid to low season, when the
town is alive with a mix of Portuguese and tourists looking for
a tranquil experience. It is at these times that you can truly experience
the Portuguese culture, when a shopkeeper or server can take the
time to have a lively conversation with you. The warmth of the Portuguese
and the Lagos natives in particular will make this a return holiday
for you as it has for so many visitors over the years.
